February. The love month. I just wanted to put down in writing some of my favorite loves in life. I love my husband. He drives through the rain after a long day of work to multiple stores to find me some sudafed and brings me a bouquet of flowers too. He takes care of Fiona when I'm not feeling well and tells her to whisper around me so it won't hurt my head anymore. He does laundry & dishes & sits with me after the baby is in bed. And when I'm not sick, he is my pal...my best confidante and supporter. I love how well he takes a joke & how well he loves me.
I love my sweet little Fiona. She is the light of my life. My 5 favorite words are 'I love you too, mommy'. She's funny & sweet & so, so smart. I love when she takes me by the hand and says 'come on mommy. I make a noodles', then leads me over to her play kitchen to show me. I love when she tells me she wants a rock-a-bye and when she tells me to sing & I mostly love when she sings on her own. What a little doll I have!
I love my family and I love that I have 2 siblings within 30 minutes of me. I love how we always rally around each other when there is a problem. I love how much fun we have when we're all together and how much we all laugh.
I love my friends...old & new. I know they are always there even if we don't connect very often. I know if I wanted to talk or get together or whatever...they would be so thrilled to be with me...as much as I would be for them.
I love my home town...the one I grew up in and the one I'm living in now. Some of my favorite memories are of good old Cody, Wyoming and I love that I'm creating memories like those here in Temecula for my family.

Weather
Ok, I feel bad for the people in the rest of the country who are stuck in blizzard 2011, sort of. What bugs is when those people living in misery whine to me about how nice our weather is. Fine, then move. Every place in the country has its high points & low points, advantages & disadvantages. So when you look at the nation's weather map you might see Southern California as being in the mid 70s and sunny. What they don't tell you is that it's warm because of Santa Ana winds...these are not those lovely chinooks we used to get ever so rarely in Wyoming that had you basking in the sun in the middle of a snow drift...no, these are super dry winds that blow across the desert & bring forth every allergen known to man. So when you see how warm & sunny our weather looks from your home...just know that many of us can't actually enjoy it without paying the price of migraines & sinus infections within seconds of breathing it in. Ugh.
p.s. I'd still rather be here than in a blizzard though!

Plans
It feels like I'm always planning, but hardly ever getting to some super fun parties. This year, I'm planning on having at least 3 big blowouts though. I had a nice little shin-dig on new years day so that's one down. Next is a big snacky type dinner on 2/6 and if a certain event involving the Pittsburg Steelers happens to be on, then maybe we'll tune that in too. Finally, Fiona's birthday party. So what if her birthday isn't until December. If I want this to be one to remember, I've got to start planning for it now so it won't be a ridiculous money drain by then. So far, so good. I've already got the theme down & a bunch of menu ideas as well as some really interesting game ideas. More info to come on this one. Who knows? Maybe I'll actually get a Christmas in July party and/or a good Halloween party planned too And maybe, I'll actually follow through on them after they're planned too!
